H. Moser & Cie releases a new Perpetual Calendar with a tantalum case

It is the first time the company has used the rare metal.

Known for its strength and anti-corrosive properties, tantalum has been chosen to create a unique watch case for Moser’s latest Endeavour Perpetual Calendar. The 42mm case has a dark grey finish and a polished surface that required over two years of testing to get right. And to complement the rare metal, the dial features the brand’s signature “Grand Feu” enamel finish in a color they’ve named “Abyss Blue.” Powering the watch is their own HMC 800 hand-wound movement, which features an interchangeable Moser escapement, an original Straumann hairspring, a gold pallet fork and escapement wheel, and a seven day power reserve.
