AeroPress Just Overhauled the Classic Coffee Maker with Premium Upgrades

Some products don’t need updates. You could argue the AeroPress is one them.

With its plastic body, the iconic coffee maker is small, lightweight, durable, unique and effective. Ounce for ounce, it may be the most powerful coffee maker ever designed. For camping and travel, I’m convinced it simply cannot be beaten.

AeroPress Original Coffee Maker

But most days, I make coffee in my kitchen, not under trees, and the original AeroPress has always felt a bit, well, cheap compared to the museum-worthy Chemex and my stainless-steel Breville. (And, hey, it is.)

I also have questions about mixing plastic with hot water, even if the company has used BPA-free materials since 2009. (The current AeroPress is made with food-grade polypropylene.)

The company’s new coffee maker, the AeroPress Premium, addresses both of those concerns.
