Aera unveils the M-1 Field, a new timepiece based on the “Dirty Dozen” watches issued to British forces during WW2. A contemporary take on the classic field watch, the 39mm M-1 is their smallest model to date yet enhances legibility with its larger, hand-applied numerals made from solid white Globolight, which emits a bright green glow in darker environments.
The elliptical case is made from 904L stainless steel and is paired to a domed sapphire crystal. The two-piece screw-in caseback gives the watch a water resistance of up to 100M/328ft and inside is a Sellita SW216-1, a manually-wound movement with a 42-hou power reserve and an Elabore-grade finish.
The watch is also fitted to a smooth leather strap with white stitching and a tan pebble grain leather strap with white stitching is also included. For the black PVD model, the watch includes both a black leather strap with black stitching and a grey Italian suede strap with white stitching.
Both the steel and PVD black version are now available for pre-order and each watch is limited to 100 units.
