The Porsche Taycan has only just started hitting showrooms in Australia, but the brand isn’t slowing down. They’ve just rounded out the model lineup with the release of the Porsche Taycan GTS (from AUD$260,300 plus on-roads) and Porsche Taycan 4 (from AUD$184,500 plus on-roads).
We got behind the wheel of a previous-generation Taycan GTS last year, and it revealed itself as a marvellous thing that represents the best balance of performance in the range. This new model will look to achieve the same results with key enhancements, most of which have been taken from the range-topping Taycan Turbo S and Turbo GT, including the new push-to-pass function, distinctive sound profile, adaptive Sports Seats Plus, and GT multifunction sports steering wheel with mode switch, to name just a few.

The Taycan GTS produces up to 515 kW of power when using Launch Control (75 kW more than its predecessor). This is more than the next fastest model, the Taycan 4S, which produces up to 400 kW.
It helps the Taycan GTS sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than its predecessor). Still, it’s significantly less than the mental Taycan Turbo GT, which makes up to 815kW of power and completes the speed limit sprint a full second quicker with a 0-100km/h time of 2.2 seconds for the Weissach package-equipped vehicles.
Under the skin, there’s a GTS-specific chassis and optional rear-axle steering on this new model. That’s joined by the outstanding adaptive air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management
(PASM), which is combined with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) as standard. You can upgrade to a Porsche Active Ride suspension control system with GTS-specific tuning as an option, which increases both comfort on a daily basis and performance in sporty driving situations, such as the track.
Exterior changes for the Taycan GTS include Sport design front and rear aprons with inlays painted in Black (high-gloss). The same high-gloss Black is also used on the bases of the exterior mirrors. Both
the standard 20-inch Taycan Turbo S Aero Design wheels and optional 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels are painted exclusively in Anthracite Grey on the GTS, which sets it off from the rest of the line-up.
Materials on the inside have also been adopted from the high-end models, including the Taycan Turbo GT. You’ll find extended scopes in Race-Tex and elements in black leather alongside standard Adaptive Sports Seats Plus (with electric 18-way adjustment), a GT multifunction sports steering wheel with mode switch, steering wheel heating, and the Sport Chrono package, which includes the aforementioned push-to-pass function and track mode.
Carmine Red is the GTS signature colour, but if you want to change things up on the inside, the optional GTS interior package is now also available in Slate Grey Neo. Of course, you’ll never forget you’re driving a GTS model because the Taycan GTS logo is featured in the instrument cluster, power meter and start graphic. Finally, the previously optional BOSE® Surround Sound System is standard, and it sounds exceptional.
